The New Church Companion Team coordinates the Northwest Region's New Church Ministries. The Team seeks to build bridges between new congregations and the Northwest Region, weaving our new congregations into the ever changing fabric of the region.
Working with the Regional Minister, the Team meets with leaders of new congregations, working to provide encouragement, important supplies like Bibles for youth, finding camp scholarships for camps and retreats, support from groups like asking clergy clusters to reach out to include our new congregations. The Team assists new congregations in becoming incorporated congregations, and supports stewardship development regarding grants and support for new congregations, primarily through the annual Pentecost Offering.
The New Church Team helps the Northwest Region in areas of policy regarding new congregations, making grant recommendations and oversight, and facilitating communication between new congregations and the Northwest Region.
